菲律宾导演、菲律宾数字电影创作之父。代表作《杀手情歌》《消失不去的独裁》等，曾提名第70届柏林国际电影节遇见单元 最佳影片、第44届鹿特丹国际电影节亚洲电影大奖、第27届东京国际电影节主竞赛单元最佳影片等。曾任柏林影展评审团委员。

He is a Filipino director and is considered as the father of Philippine digital film making. His representative works include Ruined Heart and Desaparadiso, etc. He has been nominated for the Best Film in the Encounters of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, the Asian Film Awards at the 44th Rotterdam International Film Festival, and Tokyo Grand Prix in the Main Competition Section of the 27th Tokyo International Film Festival.

He served as a jury member of the Berlin Film Festival.
