By providing an international platform for film exchange and trade, we hope to foster the film & television and related industries, continuously enhancing the global influence of Chinese films and strive to make the festival an international one with global influence.
Silk Road is just like a promise. From Han dynasty of China to today, through over two thousand years, the spirit of Silk Road has never been lost.
It is the promise of the Silk Road that inspires the creation of this logo. The design of it adequately employs the technique of Chinese calligraphy----the left part is like the Chinese character “silk”, and the left and right combined is just like the Chinese character “road”. The two parts are written as one continuous stroke, symbolizing that the journey of silk road is rugged, arduous but complete and perfect with the connotation that the Silk Road is like a silk ribbon, a road that connects difference places.
Meanwhile, graphically, the upper part of it can be seen as the land silk road with Xi’an as the origin, and the half bottom of it can be seen as the maritime silk road with Fuzhou as the origin. Moreover, the golden color symbolizes that the future of the silk road will be even broader.
